News: Poppleston Allen expand London presence

Having opened their London office at the start of 2007, licensed trade specialist solicitors, Poppleston Allen, are already increasing their presence in the Capital with the appointment of Piers Warne.

Commenting, *Clare Eames who was responsible for setting up the firm's first office outside of their Nottingham HQ, said: "This move reflects the excellent start we've made in London. Building upon our foothold in the capital is a logical step given our success to-date and one that will only have a positive impact on existing and potential clients. Since the office opened in January 2007 we have been handling increasing volumes of work and have taken on a number of new clients, hence the decision to take on an experienced London licensing solicitor, and in **Piers Warne, I believe we have an excellent addition to the team."

Piers brings with him extensive experience in all matters relating to licensing under the Licensing Act 2003, including all licence applications and premises licence reviews and related enforcement issues. He has advised a variety of leisure clients, including managed pub operators, restaurants, casinos and nightclubs on all aspects of licensing, due diligence, including risk assessments and has taken the lead in conducting negotiations with licensing and relevant authorities in relation to all aspects of running licensed premises. In addition to this long list, Piers is also an experienced advocate

Outside of work, Piers plays squash and is currently attempting to improve his golf swing. He also plays guitar and promotes a small night in London for up and coming bands.
