David Elphick - Training Manager and BII Course Trainer
David has a wide range of knowledge and skills with over 20 years experience in the leisure industry as a General Manager and Licensee. He has previously worked for leisure companies in a consultancy and training position, assisting in licence applications as an expert witness. David is responsible for the further development of Poppleston Allen Training towards its objective of becoming the consultancy and training company of choice to the leisure Industry and local authorities.

Jeremy Allen - Partner and Course Trainer
Jeremy is a frequent speaker at training conferences on licensing for lawyers and non-lawyers alike. He has been a member of the Secretary of State Advisory Committee on the Licensing Act 2003 and is Legal Director of BEDA, the BBPA and a legal consultant to the BII. Both he and Susanna are the only star rated licensing solicitors in Chambers Guide to the Legal Profession.
Susanna Poppleston - Partner and Course Trainer
Susanna is a highly respected advocate and an accomplished speaker at training conferences and seminars. Susanna and Jeremy have co-written the book 'Alcohol and Entertainment Licensing Law', with Professor Colin Manchester, published by Cavendish Publishing.
Jonathan Smith - Partner and Course Trainer
Jonathan regularly conducts licensing training for local authority councillors, officers and consultees, as well as police authorities. He is firmly established as a national licensing advocate, developing a recognised expertise in the field of late-night licensing and off-licences.
Lisa Sharkey - Partner and Course Trainer
With many years experience in late-night licensing, Lisa is a respected advocate of the firm and speaks regularly at training conferences and trade forums. Lisa also has a particular knowledge of the needs of members clubs.
